Why Choose EMDR Certification?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, evidence-based psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress resulting from traumatic life experiences. As an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, you will:
- Enhance your credibility among clients, peers, and referral sources
- Join a network of certified clinicians dedicated to the highest level of trauma-informed care
- Expand your skills through advanced EMDR training and supervision
- Increase client trust and confidence in your practice
Meet Your Consultant: Dr. Neeley Hughey
Dr. Neeley Hughey is an EMDRIA-approved Consultant with over 20 years of clinical experience supporting therapists as they develop confidence, clarity, and clinical excellence in EMDR therapy. Known for her depth of knowledge and grounded, relational teaching style, Dr. Hughey provides consultation that is both clinically rigorous and deeply supportive—meeting clinicians where they are while helping them grow into skilled, ethical, and attuned EMDR practitioners.
Her clinical and consultation expertise includes working with complex and high-acuity presentations, particularly:
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), including single-incident and developmental trauma
- Complex PTSD (C-PTSD), with an emphasis on attachment wounds, chronic trauma, and relational harm
- Integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) with EMDR, helping clinicians thoughtfully blend parts-based work with reprocessing for greater safety and effectiveness
- Dissociative presentations, including dissociation, parts-mediated experiences, and stabilization-focused EMDR approaches
Dr. Hughey is especially respected for her ability to help clinicians slow down, conceptualize more deeply, and apply EMDR in a way that is trauma-informed, ethically sound, and responsive to the nervous system. Her consultation style balances structure with compassion, offering both practical guidance and reflective support as therapists strengthen their skills and confidence in the therapy room.
